THE FOUR IBEX ARE THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER SPECIES FROM SPAIN
Gredos Ibex are located in the Gredos mountain range two hours west of Madrid. On average this is the biggest Ibex of the four. They have a beautiful jet black cape and can live up to eighteen years or more. If it’s your first ibex hunt in Spain, here is where you should start.

The Beceite ibex has a very characteristic horn shape that flares straight out. Very often they are referred to as “airplane” wings. They are located four hours north west of Madrid and sometimes they can be as big, or even bigger than it’s Gredos cousin.
Southeastern Ibex live in the southern past of Spain in the sunny region of Andalucia. In a four hour drive you can be hunting this very distinctly horn shaped ibex. Contrary to what most people think, these ibexes can really reach impressive sizes when their natural areas are properly managed.
Finally, the smallest of the four. Ronda Ibex live in the small Ronda mountain range. Their area is located very close to the Southeastern Ibex, this proximity makes hunting both ibex in one trip a sensible option.
